The Emperor Hadrian visited Britain in 122AD, and ordered a wall to be built between the Solway Firth in the west and the Roman Tyne in the east, 'to seperate Romans from Barbarians'.
Explore this magnificent World Heritage landscape, with Roman archaeologist Mike Stone, discovering surviving sections of the wall, impressive forts and fortifications and recent excavations which reveal new information about the lives of the men and women who inhabited the wall in the 2nd Century province of Britannia.
