Day 1: Arrive independently at the Talbot Hotel, Ripley from 15.00. This evening there will be a welcome reception, private dinner with wine and an introductory talk from your host and guide.
Day 2: Full day at the Chelsea Flower Show.
We head into south west London for the highlight of this short tour, a full day visit to the amazing flower show at Chelsea. First held in 1862 the RHS Flower Show moved to the grounds of the Chelsea Hospital in 1905 and has been one of the most popular events in the horticultural calendar ever since with a host of innovative gardens created especially for the show annually, with extensive TV coverage. Nothing beats being there and our tickets allow unlimited access all day on Thursday when the crowds are smaller.
Day 3: The Savill Garden with lunch and Dunsborough Park.
This morning we head to Windsor Great Park and the Savill Garden, created in the 1930s and featuring 35 acres of interconnected gardens including the Hidden Gardens, Spring Wood, the Summer Gardens, the New Zealand Garden, Summer Wood, The Glades, Autumn Wood and the Winter Beds. Lunch is included in the garden marquee, before we head back to the village of Ripley to visit the magnificent privately-owned gardens at Dunsborough Park. Laid out in the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries before falling into the doldrums after the death of long-term owner, Florence Desmond. After restoration by new owners, Dolf and Caroline Sweerts de Landas Wyborgh, a garden statuary dealer, they were reopened to the public in 1997 and remain so to this day with an impressive and beautiful range of flora, fauna and statuary within the 100-acre estate. Return to the hotel for approximately 17.00.
Please note: Post tour extra nights are available at a supplement.
Please note the maximum group size on this tour is 48 passengers.

Michael Brown was excellent as always. The coach driver, Alex, was very knowledgeable of all aspects of the routes and drove with confidence and competence and an air of calm in challenging conditions and I feel his employers should be made aware of this. I thought he was excellent. Steve, the Blue Badge Guide was pleasant but I am not sure his presence really added anything. It was also disappointing that he had absolutely no interest in gardening or flowers! The hotel was lovely with charming, helpful staff. I am hoping to visit Wisley in the not too distant future and will probably return to the Talbot at Ripley.
