Day 2: Full day at the Chelsea Flower Show.
We head into south west London for the highlight of this short tour, a full day visit to the amazing flower show at Chelsea. First held in 1862 the RHS Flower Show moved to the grounds of the Chelsea Hospital in 1905 and has been one of the most popular events in the horticultural calendar ever since with a host of innovative gardens created especially for the show annually, with extensive TV coverage. Nothing beats being there and our tickets allow unlimited access all day on Thursday when the crowds are smaller.
Day 3: The Savill Garden and Kew Gardens with afternoon tea.
This morning we head to Windsor Great Park and the Savill Garden, created in the 1930s and featuring 35 acres of interconnected gardens including the Hidden Gardens, Spring Wood, the Summer Gardens, the New Zealand Garden, Summer Wood, The Glades, Autumn Wood and the Winter Beds. We then head to the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew, a world-renowned UNESCO World Heritage Site that is home to the largest and most diverse botanical collection in the world with a host of highlights including the Great Broad Walk, magnificent Palm House, Treetop Walkway, the Hive and Kew Palace. A guided tour will illuminate your visit and afternoon tea in the Botanical Restaurant overlooking the Palm House pond will prove a fitting end to your visit. Return to the hotel for approximately 17.30.
