For us, essentially an informed and interesting overview of the historic, artistic and architectural jewels of the Flemish cities, to pursue in more leisurely detail later - but at times somewhat rushed and overwhelming for the newcomer. The brocure clearly stated that we were visiting cities. Their traffic congestion, perpetual reconstructions and floods of tourists was no surprise. The comfortable hotel could have been more centrally located for exploring Antwerp's fascinating historic areas and seeking out local restaurants. In light of our variable experiences of the city guides, perhaps thought could be given to more informal/shorter alternatives. Karen is a very attentive tour manager and an excellent source of information. Overall an enjoyable trip. the Greensmiths

Lovely tour but tiring. The hotel, although excellent, was not ideally placed for city access, particularly after a tiring day out and needing to find an evening meal to suit. Smaller town such as Ghent or Leuven may have benefit as a base, traffic around Antwerp being problematic.

The tour fulfilled its promise of showing us the art and culture of these wonderful, historic Flemish cities. Karen, our tour manager, was knowledgeable and always helpful but the local guides varied between excellent (Antwerp and Mechelen), good (Ghent and Leuven) and hopeless (Bruges - fortunately our party all knew the city and we visited the museums we wanted to see). If there is a criticism of the guided tours, it is their lengthy duration which limited the time we had to visit the numerous recommended sites. We also experienced significant delays in our return journeys from Ghent and Bruges due to the appalling traffic jams on Antwerp's ring road, and this limited our time enjoying Antwerp.

We enjoyed the new tour v much but think there are some negatives.Antwerp traffic manic for the coach driver and access to hotel.Ghent/Leuven/Mechelen will return.Guides were good but Bruges guide was embarrassing and the city extremely busy for us.Karen worked very hard to give us good experiences. Thank you.
