ITINERARY

Day 1: Travel to Belfast
Depart London Heathrow for Belfast. Transfer to the hotel.

Day 2: Belfast and a whisky tasting
Begin your journey with a guided walking tour of Belfast, uncovering the city’s rich industrial heritage, political history, and vibrant street art. Explore iconic landmarks like City Hall, the Albert Memorial Clock, and the Cathedral Quarter. This afternoon enjoy a guided tour and tasting at McConnell’s Distillery.

Day 3: Glenarm Castle and the Causeway Coastal Route
Morning visit to Glenarm Castle, one of Northern Ireland’s most beautiful estates, and a place of outstanding natural beauty. For 400 years it has been the family home of the Earls of Antrim and there has been a castle at Glenarm since the days of John Bisset who was expelled from Scotland in 1242 for murder. During your visit of the castle you will see superb examples of Irish furniture as well as portraits of family members from the early 17th Century through to the present day. The magnificent Walled Garden is one of Ireland’s oldest walled gardens. Originally created to supply the Castle with its fruit and vegetables, the Walled Garden is now filled with wonderful flowers and specimen plant throughout the seasons. We drive on through the colour-washed village of Glenarm making our way along the Causeway Coastal Route. Pass through Carnlough and pass Ballycastle, the gateway to Glentaisie and Glenshesk. In the afternoon visit the Giant’s Causeway and marvel at the legendary basalt columns. In the evening, return to your hotel for a special talk and Q&A with Susie Millar, whose great-grandfather was an engineer on the Titanic.

Day 4: Titanic Belfast
Spend the morning at the world-renowned Titanic Belfast Museum, exploring the ship’s story from conception to legacy. It is located in Titanic Quarter, right beside the historic site of this world famous ship's construction. Housed in an iconic 6-floor building, this state-of-the-art museum tells the story of the Titanic, from her conception in Belfast in the early 1900s, through her construction and launch, to her famous maiden voyage and tragic end. Afternoon at leisure in Belfast.

Day 5: Mount Stewart then home
Morning visit to Mount Stewart, a stunning 19th-century house and gardens located on the shores of Strangford Lough in County Down, rich in paintings and artefacts, and the beautiful gardens with a rich tapestry of design and planting artistry bearing the hallmark of its creator Edith, Lady Londonderry. Transfer to the airport for return flight to London.
