2024 sees the ninetenth edition of the Bocelli-hosted event in his hometown of Lajatico. The exclusive annual event promises to be an exceptional show where once again Andrea Bocelli will perform alongside an extraordinary cast of international artists and the Orchestra Teatro del Silenzio, celebrating a career spanning 30 years of performances on the world’s stages.
The Teatro del Silenzio 2024 is sure to be an utterly unforgettable event) and it is also set to be immortalized as part of a TV special that will capture this once-in-a-lifetime celebration. As with “One Night in Central Park”, Andrea Bocelli vehemently rejects the term “challenge” in reference to his 30th anniversary concert:
“That’s not my experience of it” Andrea Bocelli explains “ To undertake a challenge, one must have an opponent, while I simply have the many wonderful people who have embarked upon this journey with me, be they the audience, the artists involved, the technicians or the organizers. People who I will share this adventure with and who I hope will cherish their memories of it, as I will. Music is meant to bring people together, so that they may share a feeling or an emotion. After 30 years spent on the world’s stages, this will be an honour and an extremely special occasion to be able to celebrate, together, right here, where I was born, where it all began”.
The concert is always a spectacular event and a ticket to this, combined with a stay in the beautiful Renaissance city of Florence and visits to some of Tuscany’s most lauded sights makes this a tour not to miss in 2024.

Day 1: Fly from London Heathrow to Bologna. On arrival transfer to Florence for check-in to the Grand Hotel Mediterraneo or Baglioni Hotel for six-night stay.. This evening there will be a welcome drink at the hotel.
Day 2: Morning visit to Fiesole and early evening transfer to Lajatico for performance at the Teatro del Silenzio
Morning visit to the lovely village of Fiesole up in the hills to the north of Florence. Fiesole offers wonderful views of the city below as well as delightful churches and buildings, with plenty of places for a leisurely coffee stop. Return to the hotel mid-afternoon for time to freshen up before heading to Lajatico and the performance with Andrea Bocelli at the Teatro del Silenzio. Late return to the hotel after the concert. Day 3: Full day in Florence
Morning walking guided tour of Florence with afternoon free for personal exploration. The Renaissance city of Florence has a wealth of sights that could take weeks to explore. Highlights include the Duomo, Uffizi, Accademia, a host of churches, lavish palaces and atmospheric, ancient streets.
Day 4: Full day San Gimignano and Siena
A classic day’s excursion from Florence takes us to first to San Gimignano, often referred to as the medieval Manhattan thanks to its lofty towers that dominate its skyline built as status symbols centuries ago, and offers a host of lovely churches, palazzo as well as its renowned towers. Next we visit the beautiful city of Siena, once a rival to Florence and a magnificent city in its own right, renowned for its stunning semi-circular main Piazza del Campo, 12th century striped marble Duomo, one of Italy’s greatest cathedrals (and there are no shortage of them in the home of Catholicism!), world class museums and delightful cobbled streets. We will have an included guided walking tour of Siena.
Day 5: Full day free in Florence
The whole day today is free for relaxation and further exploration of the stunning city of Florence.
Day 6: Full day to Lucca
Full day visit to the gorgeous walled city of Lucca, which is a delight to explore. Highlights amongst its narrow cobbled streets and alleys include Puccini’s House, San Martino and San Michele in Foro churches and city walls that offer lovely vistas of the city.
Day 7: Morning visit to Bologna and return flight to the UK
This morning we visit Bologna with free time for personal exploration. Bologna's historic city centre is considered one of the best preserved and maintained in Italy and highlights include the Piazza Maggiore, Fountain of Neptune, Basilica di San Petronio and the Pinacoteca Nazionale. Afternoon transfer to Bologna Airport for the return flight to London Heathrow.

There was no one to meet us at heathrow and no clear indication of where to check in, I feel that the tour guide should have been there at ckeck in. The last day when we were travelling home I would have preferred to stay in Florence in the morning and the go directly to the airport, going to Bologne first make it a very tiring day.

Very many thanks for such a wonderful holiday. The administration was first class and Barbara was a marvellous tour guide. The hotel Executive in Florence was very well located near the banks of the Arno. It provided the best welcome reception we have very had and the availability of free tea and coffee throughout the day was most welcome. The room was spotless and the breakfast offered a very good choice of hams, eggs, bread and fruits etc. The concert by Andrea Bocelli was first class an all we expected and well organised by Barbara who made sure we all knew the rendezvous points. The walk to the arena was in parts taxing and Italian organisation might have been better, but this is as it.is and beyond the control of any travel company. Indeed your holiday description points this out as did Barbara who prepared us well for that aspect. The day tours were very worthwhile - although we had been to the locations several times before - and again benefited from the use of local guides when required. All in all our holiday was marvellous and we would recommend the tour to all. Having been very impressed with Travel Editions we look forward to booking with you again.Many thanks for a great time.

A most enjoyable trip, and very well organised. My only regret is that the tour ended with an early departure from Florence and a 3 hour break in Bologna before heading to the airport. - no doubt for logistical reasons, but I would have preferred the morning in Florence with a midday departure direct to the airport.. It was too hot in the middle of the day to really enjoy the time in Bologna.

Thanks for an amazing tour, it exceeded my expectations. The hotel was lovely, great location and friendly/ responsive staff. Breakfast was good, with choice. Barbara, the tour manager, was charming and knowledgeable. The tours were informative. I particularly liked the fact there was ‘downtime’ to do your own thing. Only a couple of comments; Arriving at Terminal 5, was very confusing as all checkin automated desks required specific info we didn’t have. BA employees few and far between, had no idea how or where, we could check in, and was given incorrect information. This was confusing and caused unnecessary anxiety, and didn’t create best first impression. Perhaps this could be avoided by simply providing a more detailed instruction in your booking info. As a nervous flier, I had informed the company, that my anxiety could be helped by having a front aisle seat. However, at check in, I was allocated mid seat in last row, (no legroom either at 5 ft 10 not great).. I appreciate this was a group booking, but allocated seat, was probably the worst seat on the plane. However, when I met Barbara, she mentioned to BA at the gate, and I was moved to mid seat in row 9, which was much better. Perhaps, it would be worth communicating with BA before seat allocation, on any potential issues? I would also think that an improved website may be a help. However, these are only suggestions as I really enjoyed the tour, and genuinely liked the company’s approach. Thankyou .

A most enjoyable and well organised trip. Being able to dip in and out of the itinerary was appreciated. Hotel very good and tour guide excellent.The highlight was , of course, the Andrea Bocelli concert which was truly spectacular. Although organised well by the travel company, sadly the organisation by the various security and concert companies fell short. Entering and leaving the outside theatre , particularly the latter was a ‘shambles.’ Hundreds of people waiting for buses and crowded together , some impatient, some feeling the worse for wear was no fun . However, despite the above, it was a fabulous show and the whole holiday successful and memorable.

Our Tour Manager was excellent, the right amount of information and detail, very friendly, professional and a good sense of humour! Angela always ensured that we were all happy with everything and was always there for us. Coaches in resort were excellent. Check in at Bologna was very poor and we waited over an hour just to check in our suitcases. It was unfortunate that where it was obvious people with same names were travelling together, the seat allocation did not reflect this.

Would have liked the option to check in myself and choose seats. I had requested BA executive card numbers to be added, but they were not. Angela (tour manager) was very good and so was the hotel despite what other guests said. Staff were friendly, spoke good English and breakfast typically Italian. Rooms were clean and had excellent (free!) air conditioning. Hotel within an easy walk of all main attractions in Florence.

I just have a couple of comments - the flight was very early out of Heathrow which was very inconvenient and I was also puzzled about flying to Bologna instead of Florence? Enjoyed the tour very much and good value for money. Did think the hotel could have been better. Took 24hrs to put right the problems we had with the room . Also terrible internet connection the whole time we were there. Also like to say your missing a good opportunity by not having another airport availabili to go from. We travelled from North Yorkshire down to Heathrow having to stay over night before and after holiday . Other friends wanted to go but wouldn’t go from Heathrow , what a missed opportunity. May I suggest a Manchester flight which Is the middle of the country.

Having travelled with you on the same tour in 2018 we were somewhat disappointed with the hotel. Initially we were put in room 304 which proved to be in a poor state of repair, architrave on both the main door and bathroom door was missing, this exposed wiring and expanded polystyrene filler. Added to this the power sockets were loose and non-functioning. With the help of the tour manager the hotel manager moved us to a much better room. Having said that it was much better it still left a great deal to be desired. Civilised cups were not provided in the room, soft, flimsy paper cups which were totally unusable for making hot drinks. There were no teaspoons. There were only six coat hangers. Breakfasts were disappointing for a 4 star hotel. When all three parties were in the hotel the queues for the single hot drinks machine were unacceptable. There was no variety in what was on offer., scrambled eggs and bacon every day. When we previously stayed at the hotel we had no complaints, we even told fellow members of the party how good the hotel was. We were embarrassed when they described their pokey room to us. We realise that being part of a group booking means that what is on offer will not be the same as full paying guests, but we really did feel that we were second class citizens. We did enjoy the holiday, the trips and the guides were excellent. The concert was amazing.

The overall tour was good and the Andrea Bocelli concert was excellent. The hotel was disappointing and met very few, if any, of the basic criteria for a 4-star. The room was very small, although it was functional and the air conditioning was good, and the shower leaked. Breakfast was extremely poor and we were told in no uncertain terms that we were not allowed to take breakfast in the main restaurant with the rest of the hotel guests. We were directed to the 'Taverna' which was a below stairs dark and dingy room, where we were offered an extremely substandard breakfast. We felt like 'second-class citizens, a comment that was iterated by many of the group - thank goodness we weren't booked in for half-board! Barbara, the tour guide was a very pleasant lady, but her preparation was poor and often information was incorrect.

Disappointed with concert. Too long to walk in and walk out. Concert was obviously designed for the fact it was being recorded for TV. We had been given the impression it would be 'Andrea Bocelli in concert' not a circus! The management team should be shot! Even when Andrea was singing there was too much going on around him. A lot of people seemed to leave even before the interval. We really enjoyed the trips to various towns. However please advise your group leaders to walk at the less abled pace not the more abled pace. We know you advised it was a 5 footprint category trip which we thought meant distance and uneven walking surfaces. We found we were catching up last and so missed most information given.

Hotel was comfortable and clean, but the breakfast was terrible! The quality of the food was poor, the coffee was awful, full of chicory,and there was no prepared fruit to have with cereal. By contrast the breakfast for the non tour people was much better. We would have gladly paid extra for this. It would have been helpful if we had been advised to take a cushion to the concert.

We would have liked the hotel to be a little more central. Facilities at the hotel were not good but it was always clean & the food was ok but choice rather limited. There were lots of little things that were annoying - the kettle in the room was temperamental, they didn't top up supplies, the shower was so small, very few hangers, storage space taken up with their extra bedding, but for 6 days we coped ok! The concert was good but we feel that they are getting greedy and it is getting too big with poor organisation. We did not enjoy it as much as our previous visits but all this is not your fault we know! Our guide, Barbara, was great and very helpful, always there without being intrusive to answer any questions and offer guidance. We might not go on this trip again but would certainly travel with your Company again.

This was our 4th Andrea Bocelli tour with you. We really enjoyed the Concert and in particular the second half and the finale. The HotelGrand Mediterranean was good and caters well for groups. Our allocated room though 524 on the 5th floor was very poor and we could not accept this for 5 nights and we immediately asked to change. It was not possible for the first night but we transferred to room 312 on the 3rd floor on the 2nd day. The hotel were very helpful and this room was very good in every way. Nice view, large opening window, recently refurbished, large TV, good shower and very comfortable bed. Breakfast was adequate but not inspiring. The excursions were excellent and Barbara our Tour Manager was very good with the organisation, maps, timings etc. The Hotel was nicely situated by the river, although maybe a little too far out of Florence for some people. The Coaches were excellent as were the drivers. The BA flights ok, but the return flight would have been better earlier in the day, as no need really to see Bologna. Overall another very well organised tour,which we thoroughly enjoyed. One important point about the Concert. This was being filmed and our allocated seats in row C, were partially blocked by the TV stands, so we were not able to see the full stage. This would have been awful, but fortunately I went and saw a Staff Member, and she was so understanding and helpful. She called her Manager and transferred us without any fuss to Row A just 13 rows from the stage, and as she said “we now had the best seat - .Fantastic. So many thanks to her. I know other guests had a similar problem. A memorable Concert, and we were so lucky with the weather.

Our tour manager was very friendly and approachable, but sometimes instructions was confusing but that was it. The venue for the concert is a lot longer than the 1K m quoted and hard work for people with the slightest walking issue or fairly mature shall we say. And the ticket location was behind a TV camera scaffold as (this particular show was being televised so it was not a proper concert per say as there was a lot of chatting by a compare), so we complained the fact that we have paid a lot and come a long way but the girl was very good and four of us got moved straight away, so I told a few others and they were moved as well. I would have expected a group slot of a good couple of rows. And with all the queing and the 40+ heat it was tough but the show was good

After spending our first night in the hotel Adriatico because of an overbooking issue, the hotel Ognissanti was a big disappointment. Barbara was brilliant sorting everything out, but I should like to suggest you find another hotel. Also is it possible for those of us who live up "North" to be able fly direct from say East Midlands, we had to travel down the day before and stop overnight to be able to catch the flight, plus the same on return adding unnecessary costs.

Disappointed we were not initially given the choice of opera or concert but Angela was excellent in arranging the concert trip as an extra.

Fabulous holiday, only criticism it was not clear that Sunday's performance was an opera, my friend and I thoroughly enjoyed it but I do think others expected a concert. We were lucky enough to attend the Tuesday night concert and would like to thank Angela Minton for all her help. A truly fantastic experience.

Not sure if you have used this hotel before but in my opinion it did not deserve 4 stars. It was clean and tidy ,the staff in the main were friendly and the breakfasts were good. However there were never enough tables at breakfast nor plates or glasses. Our tv did not work(due to a loose connection(which l fixed),our bathroom door was very noisy(which l fixed with soap) and the shower had cracked tiles and a crack in the tray

I have already sent an email and had a response back from you. My only negative comment relates to the hotel you used. Our room was very small and the en suite facility was of a questionable standard and the breakfasts were of a quite poor standard for what purports to be a 4 star hotel. Other than that the trip was very enjoyable and Sandra was superb in the way she went about things and her knowledge is second to none. Thank you for a very enjoyable trip.

We thoroughly enjoyed the visits but were a little disappointed with the concert. However, that was not your fault. The hotel was unfortunately a little lacking in staff as a lot of them had gone on holiday. The rooms were a little tired but were clean and comfortable and the staff very helpful. I can't praise Sandra, our Tour Manager, enough. She is knowledgeable, gives very precise instructions and directions and has a great sense of humour. We could perhaps have missed the tour of Pisa on arrival as it was very hot and we were all tired after an early start.

It was wonderful to have such an experienced and knowledgeable tour manager - Sandra. The content of the tour could not have been more idyllic and perfect timings too. If I could change 2 small things it would be that we didn't have fights with the shower curtain every day (very small cubicle) and that our paperwork arrived earlier than a fortnight before departure. Otherwise - thank you Travel Editions.

Hotel did not have any kitchen staff. They were all on annual leave. Therefore the food was very substandard. Could not eat at the hotel which was a shame. The drinks balcony was only opened the once so no place to meet and socialise.
