Day 1: Travel by Eurostar from London to Rotterdam. On arrival, transfer to The Hague, the elegant seat of the Dutch government. Check in to your hotel and enjoy a welcome drink reception to meet your fellow travellers.
Day 2: This morning, enjoy a guided walking tour of The Hague’s historic centre, home to royal palaces, embassies, and charming architecture. In the afternoon, visit the renowned Mauritshuis Museum, home to masterpieces by Vermeer, Rembrandt, and other Dutch masters.
Day 3: A full-day excursion to the world-famous Keukenhof Gardens, where millions of tulips and spring flowers bloom in a spectacular display. Enjoy time to explore the themed gardens and pavilions at your own pace.
Day 4: Travel to Delft for a morning walking tour of this picturesque town, known for its charming canals, iconic blue pottery, historic churches, and ties to the Dutch royal family. Discover quaint streets, artisan shops, and peaceful courtyards. The afternoon is free to explore independently—perhaps visit the Vermeer Centre, enjoy a canal-side café, or browse local boutiques.
Day 5: Visit Gouda in the morning, with free time to explore the historic market square, admire the Gothic town hall, and browse charming local shops and artisan cheese stalls. After lunch (own expense), continue to Leiden for a visit to the Leiden Botanical Gardens. Founded in 1590, it is the oldest botanical garden in the Netherlands and one of the oldest in the world, and was created to support medical education and botanical research.
Day 6: Begin with a guided walking tour of Dordrecht, Holland’s oldest city, exploring its medieval architecture, scenic harbours, and charming alleyways, followed by free time. Afternoon visit to Schiedam for a tour and tasting at the National Jenever Museum.
Day 7: Enjoy free time in The Hague before transferring to Rotterdam for your return Eurostar journey to London.
