I thought the whole holiday was good but i did find we wasted a lot of time travelling to and from destinations. Is it not possible to be more central to them. The Guide was absolutely marvellous she was knowledgeable, patient, helpful and very very good at getting us all to the right place on time. She is amazing.

I would like to once again praise your excellent tour guide ,Barbara.Santarelli.Her unstinting attention to every aspect of our tour, including personal well being, demonstrated a strong sense of duty of care. Her sense of humour and personable character was the" icing on the cake".My only recommendation for the tour is to return to Abano Termi for hotel provision, which would be much more restful after the city visits. Thanks again for giving me the opportunity to experience the magnificence of Aida and Nabucco in the full glory of l'Arena da Verona.

Thoroughly enjoyed this trip, despite rain causing cancellation of 2nd half of Domingo concert. Loved being in Italy with such good local guides. As much as possible was included in a short time. The only problem was the distance between Padova and Verona which resulted in very late return to hotel - 2.30 to 3am. Nevertheless, we would do it all again!

Thank you for a truly excellent experience of the Verona Opera and guided tours of surrounding cities. The Arena events were really spectacular, and it didn't rain! The accompanying local guides were very well informed and enhanced our visits to such places as the University in Padova and Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza. Our tour was particularly successful due to the diligence and energy of our Tour Manager Barbara Santarelli, who made the transfers and organization of tickets and entrances seamless(quite a task on some occasions).I must also thank her for having the foresight and sensitivity to suggest that she accompany those of us travelling alone on our first evening's exploration of Padova and its restaurants. As a result friendships were established and the holiday was made truly memorable.

The day After I returned home from the Verona holiday I telephoned your office and wanted to speak to Ed Coventry to thank him personally for the marvellous holiday I experienced but unfortunately he was away. I did book last year but became ill and was unable to go but he very kindly allowed me and my sister to transfer the holiday to this year so thank you so much as thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I would also like to say thank you so much to Barbara who was a fantastic guide where nothing was too much trouble - what a gem you have in her! Please keep sending the brochures as would like to use your company for another trip. Regards. Annie Stephenson

Breakfasts not as good as I have had in similar hotels, no change day in day out. Coffee machines often not working. Dining staff not really helpful and tables not relaid very quickly. Otherwise a very good holiday

Disappointed at change of hotel location which meant 3am return after opera. The tours on days following should have had later start - a bit too busy for people of a certain age ! We would like to be able to fly from a Northern airport. It is a long way to Gatwick from Cumbria.

Overall I was very impressed by the organisation of the tour and the contribution of Angela our guide. My partner and I would definitely consider another tour with your companyr
Review by Mr Michael Jones who travelled 14-July-2014
The day tours could have been altered slightly due to the very late nights of the opera - 3am arrival back at the hotel. It would also have been nice to have a free day somewhere in the week. Angela was very accommodating and very informative.
Review by Mrs Annette Summers who travelled 14-July-2014
Hotel too far out. Why not in Verona? Less coaching, late nights and early mornings. Some turn rounds left no time for a full night's sleep. Rearranged departures helped but left less time on next visit..Good holiday but exhausting with no rest day. Manager worked hard.

Travel Editions feedback:
Thank you for your comments but unfortunately if we use a hotel in Verona itself, at this time of the year, the tour will cost twice as much and unlikely to sell.
