Day 1: Fly from London Gatwick to Málaga and transfer to the historic city of Jaén, nestled in the heart of Andalucía. We check-in to our first Parador, a hill-top fortress with beautiful views of the city and surrounding mountains and olive groves.
Day 2: Today, journey to Granada, one of Spain’s most iconic cities. Begin with a guided walking tour, including a visit to the breathtaking Alhambra Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its intricate Islamic architecture and lush gardens. The afternoon is free to explore Granada’s charming streets, tapas bars, and artisan shops independently.
Day 3: Discover Jaén on a morning walking tour, visiting the impressive Cathedral, the atmospheric Arab Baths, and the old quarter. Continue to Baena, a town famed for its olive oil. Visit a local producer for a tasting experience. Arrive at Parador de Córdoba, site of a former summer palace.
Day 4: Explore Córdoba’s rich Moorish heritage on a guided tour including the MosqueCathedral, one of Spain’s most iconic monuments, and the winding streets of the old Jewish quarter. In the afternoon, enjoy a visit to the Alcázar of the Christian Monarchs, with its beautiful gardens and historic halls.
Day 5: Travel to Seville for a flamenco lesson, and a guided tour of the city’s old quarter and its grand Cathedral. Continue to Parador de Carmona, a stunning hotel set within a 14th-century Moorish fortress overlooking the Corbones River valley.
Day 6: Discover Carmona’s historic charm on a walking tour, followed by a tapas lunch. In the afternoon, transfer to Parador de Ronda, housed in the former town hall. Perched right beside the beautiful Puente Nuevo bridge, enjoy breathtaking views of the gorge and surrounding countryside .
Day 7: Explore Ronda’s old town, La Casa del Rey Moro (The House of the Moorish Kings), and Forestier Gardens. After lunch, visit a local winery for a tasting. Farewell dinner.
Day 8: Free time before your transfer to Málaga Airport for your return flight to London Gatwick.
